Tungsten carbide is the hardest material on
earth, and it is widely used in industrial fields.
Tungsten carbide is called cemented
carbide, it is an alloy material made of refractory carbide (WC) and binder
metals by powder metallurgy. Normally the binder is Cobalt or Nickel. The WC powder are mixed with binder Co or Ni, compacted
in a mold and then sintered in a vacuum furnace at temperatures no less than 1300°C

Main features of tungsten carbide
*High hardness
*Good wear resistance
*High Strength
*Strong resistance to oxidation
and corrosion
Applications of tungsten carbide
Tungsten carbide have a wide range of applications in many industry fields such as:
* Wear parts
* Cutting tools for wooden/metal/aluminium/no-ferros
* Metal forming tools
* Mining tools
* Petroleum and gas industry
Due to the applications, and the different
material grades are designed accordingly.
